AIGA EMERGE 2.0

AIGA EMERGE 2.0

Print Design + Branding Design + Team Leadership

EMERGE is an initiative built to engage and empower designers just starting out. It is funded by an AIGA Innovate Grant in partnership with AIGA's Diversity & Inclusion Task Force.

The program aims to provide emerging designers with customized events, experiences, and content that will advance their career paths and create tangible opportunities—as well as provide inclusive strategies that enable underrepresented groups and give all emerging designers the opportunity to flourish.

Initial Launch

The branding system was set up to be vibrant, trendy and eye catching. The different colors, imagery and textures can be pulled out and used to differentiate a story or program area, or all elements can be used together for maximum impact.

Utilizing this design system, postcards were created and sent to all chapter leaders ahead of an in-person leadership event where they could meet with members of the EMERGE team and learn more about how to implement the program in their own chapters. These postcards used real imagery of individuals that were interviewed as part of the EMERGE program.

Playbook Design

As a co-lead on the playbook design team, I worked alongside the branding and content teams, made up of AIGA members all across the nation to develop various printed and digital materials.

The playbook being the focus, the final solutions for this piece included a pocket mini playbook to be handed out an in-person retreat where storage space was limited. This pocket guide included all the high level information about the initiative and redirected back to the website where more robust stories and content were available including a full size PDF that served as the main resource for chapters participating in the initiative.
